Liseron

A Legacy at Sea

A Vessel of History

A vessel shaped by service, preserved by time, and reimagined for today. From her origins as a French naval minesweeper to her present-day legacy, Liseron carries a history defined by purpose, craftsmanship, and endurance. Explore her journey, past and present, as we bring her story to life.

Life Aboard Liseron

Originally built in Washington in 1953, Liseron is a 145-foot, wood-hulled vessel that began her story as the historic French minesweeper M-683, serving in the French Navy. Today, she continues her legacy in a new way by sailing the waters of Alaska as an eco-tour vessel operated by The Boat Company, where her spirit of purpose lives on through exploration and education.

Life aboard Liseron today is both intimate and intentional, shaped by her historic design and enduring craftsmanship. Guided by her original blueprints, each space has been thoughtfully preserved and adapted to offer comfort without losing the vessel’s character. She has a rhythm rooted in heritage, where every detail, from the curve of her wooden hull to the layout of her living spaces, echoes the story she continues to carry forward.

Today, Her journey does more than show you the wilderness, it helps preserve it. Every voyage directly supports conservation and research in Alaska’s fragile coastal ecosystems. Because tourism shouldn’t work against nature, it should preserve it.
